So I just saw the dedicated blogger’s recent article on “Best Day Foundation“. I see lots of happiness and joy. And for once, that feels good overall compared to deeper meanings behind most of the articles of the past/present.
Anyway, that’s it. I was hoping someone else with a passion for kayaking and bicycling would have extended his passion in life to help those with disabilities and post those photographic moments on his Facebook account instead of “showing off” his vices with other able-bodied people.
I am getting a nice inspiration late in life. Generally, I never had any clear direction in life. I’ve always been a follower and never a leader. And being shy and never out-spoken really closed the doors on many things beyond the confines of these walls — my mind and it neurosis with people and the outdoors. Great.
I see there is really a different world out there other than sitting in front of this damn computer and blogging about nonsense DAILY. Where’s the job? Maybe my job is not to be wage earner. But more like a caretaker. (Hmm. No wonder I’ve been told to “sit/hang tight”.)
For example, taking care of the disabled is a 24 hour job/duty. And Maw’s purpose is to cross-train me on patience and understanding. Paw too offers an opportunity on how to be more positive. But I’m failing to cut the old wires of negative punishments.
Maw’s career was being a dedicated RN. She has taken care of the disabled in the “medical” ward of the hospital. They were bed-ridden patients whose bodies are contorted. They cannot feed or clean themselves. So now it’s my turn to take care of her and others, too. (Gee! Why do I keep reminding myself of this?)
I know there are lots of special people, unique places and fun things to do in the water except my element happens to be on dirt, a land lover, if you will. I get “swimmers ears” and require the placement of a few drops of alcohol into the ear hold to get the water out. And I don’t know how to swim except float on my back!
So there you go, Flynn. What do you want to do in your life? Answer me now! You’re wasting time! Get with the program!
