20250505-1619. Behold! Moments ago, I have tweaked successfully my Categories List block! I forced my “posts” to assume the function of what would have been ordinarily/originally the “pages” format!
Now I really do NOT need to use the Page List block, which displays inconveniently a separate “pop-up” page where the user must click into a link to open-up yet another designated “page”; whereas using the Categories List block achieves a far better and more compact design in which the user could “Select a Category” and then “post” is displayed instantly (depending on network connections, of course).
By tweaking a customized Category Archives template – three times (one for the 66 KJV audio bible “posts”, one for the “blogs” and one for the OLD “sites” pages, and by the way the sheer compact functionality of Categories List block operates, my Header now works out VERY well, in my opinion!
For the 66 KJV audio bible “posts”, I customized the Category Archives template for ALL categories: “Displays a post category archive. This template will serve as a fallback when a more specific template (e.g. Category: Recipes) cannot be found.”
For the “blogs”, I customized another Category Archives template but selected only the category labeled “zum bloggen”. I chose my pattern called “Query Loop”, which appears also on the static “page” called “Home“.
For the “sites”, I customized yet another Category Archives template but selected only the category labeled “zur alten Site”. I chose the Content Carousel block to display only four “posts” containing the category labeled “zur alten Site”. These four “posts” appear also on the static “page” called “Projects“.
With the theme Spearhead and its pink color scheme applied to my weblog site, I get to assign/choose/customize three more theme “default” templates: Header and Footer only, Footer only and Blank. The other theme-dependent “defaults” may have any combinations of the usuals: All Archives, Blog Home, Index, Page 404, Pages, Search Results and / or Single Posts.
So I was thinking of cloning/mirroring the remaining static pages into my “posts”. So that means I would have a total of 86 “pages” times 2 or 172 “posts”. Bruhaha!
Since I already have two categories labeled “zum bloggen” and “zur alten Site”, I might call my newest category as either “zu Seiten” (or “to static Pages”) or “zu statischen Seiten” (or “to static Pages”).
I translated the English word “to” in place of the words “goto” or “go-to” into German; because I wanted the other “posts” to be categorized alphabetically and towards the end/last of the list of categories and starting with the letter “z”.
This sorting convention is for my convenience, because my primary HUGE / YUGE project was really meant for my personalized audio bible “pages”, which, in the case sample, turned out to be “posts”.
My personal “blogs” really do NOT have separate categories and really should be tagged as “rants”. So the customized template itself turned-out to be easy. The “sites” were only four “posts” and its customized template was easy to create, too.
So that’s all I have to share for now. The sunshine is bright and my dad and I ate too much leftovers and desserts, too! But I do NOT feel sleepy due to caffeine effect of the dark roast whole bean coffee that I took for breakfast this morning! End of transmission 1657 PST.
