20250511-1658. Behold! I have tweaked the Animated Headline widget by Elementor!
That’s correct! I’m back to designing my weblog site using the paid upgrade (annual).
I had refunded earlier and then re-purchased shortly thereafter! I knew I couldn’t pass-up a good deal.
And I was envious and jealous enough to try my hand or paws at web designing!
So far, I am enjoying every minute of tweaking the constant changes in my weblog site’s appearances and layouts!
And because the Archives template behaves like an Index template which serves as a “fallback” template, its “Archive Title” block is knocked-out / useless for pulling my “latest posts” which is displayed on my homepage!
Lo and behold! My coconut head slowly but surely saw something that might have been and is VERY useful: the Animated Headline widget!
I needed some sort of “placeholder” for the missing “Archive Title” block to my three “latest posts” on my homepage and the Animated Headline widget fulfilled this missing piece!
I had set a text “Welcome to” before and an exclamation mark after the Headline, respectively. But this does NOT work for the “Archive Title” block that is NOT missing, such as for the “latest posts”.
So I’m grateful that the Advanced settings allowed fallbacks, too! I then set a text “our” before and another text “page” after the Headline, respectively, again!
But this time there is a “Fallback” feature for the missing “Archive Title” block, in which I set a text as “our weblog site!”
For example, if I pulled-up the Month of May 2025 the “Archive Title” block would display simply as “Month: May 2025” without the “Animated Headline widget.
But since the background containing the “Archive Title” widget is empty, huge and annoying for my three “latest posts” on my homepage, the Animated Headline widget would display the “missing” “Archive Title” block as “Welcome to our Month: May 2025 page!
There are nine animated Shapes: Circle; Curly; Underline; Double; Double Underline; Underline Zigzag; Diagonal; Strikethrough; and X!
I was using the Circle Shape, but I changed that Shape to the Underline Shape for faster results! Voila!
I’m happy now that my front homepage, nay, my whole weblog site is looking snazzy but still has a traditional feel.
The sunset is shining brightly and strong. And my elderly father is taking his late afternoon power nap.
