Good morning and Happy 1st of July!
Moments ago, I called the non-emergency and reported a suspicious solicitor who came to our home on or around 1456 PM PT yesterday 20260630.
From my inner “feeling” and conversation with the Filipino guy, I “sensed” that he needed “help” in referrals, advertising, marketing his stuff.
He mentioned his family. So right there he was probably desparate.
He is a “home security broker”.
I don’t mind “helping” smaller and medium sized businesses and told him that I would like give him my business.
So we have a one o’clock appointment. But I told my dad that our current system is okay and we don’t need anymore.
He drove a funky VW vehicle with orange paint on the bottom and white on the top and parked in front of our home.
Dad just stepped outta his front porch to check his mailbox when the guy called out his real name out loud from our driveway!
He then stated his name to my dad.
On or about 1459, my dad said that he is not interested.
Then the guy asked my dad what is my name.
My dad said that it’s “privacy”.
Being a patient and slow person with a bad temper at times, I didn’t want any trouble.
Unfortunately, he set foot inside our home uninvited and probably misunderstood when my elderly father opened our black iron grill front door to fetch me – whereupon he kept talking but waited at the door.
I was trying to depressurize my back after working in the front yard doing landscaping.
I needed to get some sunshine and got a farmer’s tan, too.
I prayed to our Almighty and Heavenly Father in thanks for the strength to continue some ground-breaking work.
Anyways, I got outta my bed thinking that the guy was my dark-skinned cousin who would visit unexpectedly but no longer.
On or about 1501-1502, I kept pushing him outta the house and back beyond the porch.
Per the non-emergency, I learned that I should have called right away. But I did NOT!
The representative asked me why I didn’t call right away.
I am too slow!
For a few hours after the unwanted encounter, I queried my online assistance for details and got my answer.
So I called the non-emergency for the second time this year.
Yeah, so how are y’all doing?
I’m feeling parched now.
I’ve got a busy day tomorrow again.
