It’s the walk that leads down through a Philippine town,
And it hits Highway seven, north of Rome;
It’s the same road they had coming outta Stalingrad,
It’s the old Lincoln Highway back home
It’s where ever men fight to be free.
20250525-1758. An outro from an OLD classic black and white movie called “A Walk in the Sun”: “When a GI platoon lands on the beaches of Italy during World War 2, the troops face uncertainty and danger with every step.”
Last night on or about 2048 PM PT, my elderly father and I were sitting down for another late dinner and watched this show, which I typed-out earlier this morning as “256” in error when I meant to type-out “356” for my dad’s favorite MSNBC shows on mostly politics.
I was tinkering with a secondary dongle’s live streaming shows and had to reset to factory default settings all three of his smart televisions a couple of days ago.
And by doing so, this knocked-out the gulag’s voice assist and its credentials on my gulag account, which I deleted yesterday from third-party apps and services.
But thankfully, my dad memorized his favorite channels by typing-out manually the three-digit numbers just fine.
The convenience of having the gulag’s voice assist is helpful. But I wanted to remove his three dongles from showing up ever again on my home app for iPhone.
Yeah, I liked watching these OLD classic black and white movies; because I would prefer that my dad watch something “meaningful” and less controversial like baseball and golf, instead of my fuming at my dad whenever he would watch his favorite political shows, which are controlled oppositions, unfortunately, by the likes unto moi (over many years, of course): I’ve gotten sick and tired of how well-synced these NPCs have fulfilled my global and political suggestions per my OLD but now deleted Twatter posts.
Yeah, so I tried to encourage my dad to watch something else; since he has three dongles attached to three separate smart tvs and has paid for a plan that offers more than his two favorite channels!
I’m so disgusted yet happy that he could afford to waste his time and money – his way. Oh, well: that’s how it is.
