“SJW has a long history in the San Jose community, dating back to its incorporation in 1866. In 1913, the company was renamed San Jose Water Works after a reorganization. You can see the name change reflected in this image of our historic main building, which you can still spot across the street from the SAP center in San Jose. In 1983, the name reverted back to San Jose Water Company.”
