“The official said two notifications were sent to Lawrence Jacobs who was the senior counsel for News Corporation. The law enforcement official showed CNN a fax receipt with a time stamp to show something was faxed to Jacobs at precisely 4:09 pm on August 27. In addition, CNN was shown a U.S. Postal Service certified mail receipt indicating a registered letter was sent to Jacobs the same day. The official did not show the messages sent to Jacobs.”
Sorry, I’ll have to go with the DOT. Fax Receipts with time/date stamps and USPS Certified Mail Receipts are valid delivery methods. Trust me on this one. These are VERY reliable tracking systems. I’m VERY particular with these types of transactions. Anyone who doesn’t include their fax numbers are sneaky cheaters and must be punished. So check how the receipt/delivery was routed to the intended parties.
And quit messing up each other! Business is business. There’s nothing to hide or fear if you’re willing/able/honest enough to share your knowledge from sources and about the process of making sure data is properly requested.
Oh, love these sort of story lines. It tests our understanding of the current flow of information. Interesting.
