
Here is an easy dish to make:
~Fry chopped garlic and onion and sliced ginger in veggie oil until slightly brown.
~Add chopped pieces of pork and until slightly brown.
~Add shrimp (chopped whole raw shrimp).
~Add small amount of water to keep from burning ingredients.
~Add salt and/or “alamang” (which is salty shrimp paste) to taste.
~Add six cans (13.5 fl oz) of banana blossoms, drained of canned liquid and washed well with water.
~Add one can (5.6 fl oz) of coconut milk, shaken first to mix/dislodge coconut pulp from inside the can.
~Mix well each time ingredients are added.
~Add more water to cook well and reduce water to desired stew.
~Serve warm and enjoy.
Note: This dish is supposed to last a few days, depending on how many are eating this delicious Filipino stew.
