Contact lenses:
After realizing that I cannot place an overnight order for a pair of disposable contact lenses and a nice pair of violet-colored ones for cosmetic purpose and humor to freak out ‘Razor’ again, I decided to schedule a last minute visit to the eye doctor on Friday.
On the following day, I hastily arrived at Berryessa Optometry to obtain at least a prescription to fill an order of contact lenses for less price over the internet. But I was surprised to have received some pairs good enough for diagnostic purposes only. My goal was to look pretty for the upcoming wedding on December 28, 2008.
The good doctor was kind enough for me to ‘cut in line’ of two waiting parties because my exam was not comprehensive. It was the first time I saw him and he is better than the first one, who retired from the place and the second one, who I found was very particular about a definite ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer and without hesitation from the patient.
Anyway, I will continue to see this third doctor probably next month whenever the stupid ‘banksters’ man-up!
Hair and nails:
So after the eyeball appointment, I went right next do the hair and nail salon. For $25.00 I got a full set of acrylic nails to length over my natural ones. It is painted dark red called: Sparkling Red and the Vietnamese lady put a five-petal pink rose and a pair of eight-leaf, green fern designs on both ring fingers.
I got that hot wax job done on my hairy arms and face. She did my eyebrows well: The locals call her the ‘Eyebrow Doctor’. Two dark-colored, tall-looking Flips arrived during my unannounced visit to the place. The first one had a pleasant look; while the second one had that typical snotty one. The second just popped in and pointed to her eyebrows without saying word as if she is entitled to good service.
I subtly flicked her off with my middle finger propped up against my left eyebrow to hide anything from her boyfriend who was sitting near the doorway. It’s a good thing the lady knew what she was doing and proceeded to get my complimentary, yellow sandals to wear while my toe nails dried off.
I spent over two-hundred dollars that day. My spending is necessary. It’s not done for personal upkeep like some snot faces. It’s purely to dress the part for a very special occasion that only happens once in a lifetime. I plan to keep the corners of my mouth from natural downturn to be more neutral and happier one. Wish me luck!
