20250312-2145. Greetings, chumps! Yesterday Tuesday was also weird! I awoke as usual. Then my elderly father insisted that we go shop for grocery at our local warehouse store; since we were supposed to return his cardiac rhythm monitor. I had planned on going grocery shopping but I didn’t feel or know on what particular day to go out. But since we were headed out anyways, I had no choice but to force myself to obey my dad.
I was also surprised to learn from my elderly father that we are to expect some rain/storm the following day, which is today Wednesday! I felt rushed and yet revived; because I had completed (somewhat) tweaking my weblog site and didn’t know what else to do. Y’all see I was able to “keep busy” all these years; while being a caretaker and NOT really working those normal enslaved hours of 40 hours per week. So by tweaking my weblog site, I persevered despite wanting to go to heaven.
After we arrived home, I immediately snarfed down four pieced of wrapped chicken, drank one scoop of chocolate and one scoop of vanilla shake, and six gulps of my favorite sports drinks. I KNOW damned-well that I would need this energy boost. Because on March 8 and around noontime and after taking photos of how Bay Area Pavers failed to removed the concrete forms and pegs, I ran outta energy!
My thighs were VERY weak as I squatted and stood up repeatedly to pull-up/out weeds in-between the driveway cracks and crevices. I had taken a photo of dandelions around noontime before I pulled out those beautiful flowers, which are NOT weeds but also nice plant life forms.
My system was crashing as I was shaking from the brief few minutes of pulling out some weeds from the driveway. I had also used our electric blower to dust off our easement area where the fools left behind their materials near our PGE dot com gas main and our two-car garage.
So from last Saturday’s physical response to light yard work, I had no choice but to stuff my system with food and drink for Tuesday yard work. I also usually skip breakfast. So that added to my body’s response to lack of food.
For the first wave of activity, I tackled the front lawn in three parts. I was focused and started with the part nearest our driveway. Then I mowed the part nearest our front door. I had trouble squeezing my lawn mower between the edges of the lawn and held onto our three-foot high black chainlink fence for support (to show the gangs/neighbor that I’m “elderly” too (hehe) as I pushed forward rather quickly; since my lawn mower is powered by two lithium ion batteries, which is only good for about twenty minutes.
Then my elderly father came out to help with sweeping up the dirt and debris. He helped to fluff up the trodden-downed grass/lawn with our WIDE-toothed rake, which is really for raking YUGE piles of dried leaves. Just when I was about to finish the remaining few lines of uneven/tufted-up grass, the damned lawn mower failed to start!
I thought that the batteries had already died-off too soon! I was pissed as I needed to get this job done; since I did NOT wanna crash from my food and drink from earlier that afternoon.
So I had to recharge the two 20 volts lithium ion batteries on the 5 amps charger for over three freaking hours! This gave us time to recharge our HU-man bodies by eating lunch and using the toilet.
I still felt recharged even after eating a light lunch and really wanted to finish the uneven/tufted-up grass from the front lawn AND mow down the VERY tall backyard grass/lawn, too!
The sun was fast setting and the wind was blowing strong well into the evening. By on/around 17:40 PST, I was able to get my fully recharged batteries and start the backyard lawn.
But the lawn mower would NOT start! I kept trying to push the right-side/red button to our VERY lightweight Craftsman black/red lawn mower. I was about to give up hope and went inside the house. I kept praying and sent a text message to my younger brother that I probably needed his gasoline-powered green-colored John Deere lawn mower, which has a power-forward motor, which our cheapest/lightweight Craftsman black/red lawn mower does NOT have this feature!
Then I went outside again and tried getting the lawn mower to start. Lo and behold, there was success. Switching-on the right-side/red-button was tricky. I though to myself that I broke something (again); because I tend to be VERY rough with objects due to my impatience. Image when dealing with me in person when I’m impatient with HU-manz – I’d probably break y’all, too! Moo-Hah-Hah-Hah!
Yeah, so I had to pop-over the VERY tall grass and the lawn mower got VERY angry unto moi and choked-down and stopped several times! I still had trouble pressing the starter button and tried to memorize exactly where I should push and place my right thumb to ensure that the damned cheap machine started!
Despite the delays, I managed to get the two lawns under control! I tried to blow-off more of the fluffy seeds around the perimeter of the fence line out front but the damned winds blew the fluffy seeds back onto our lawn. With today’s rain, I hope the damned weeds won’t sprout on my lawn, which I will end up applying weed and feed twice a year anyways!
I realize that I would inherit my dad’s passion for doing yard-work! But since I’m NOT slow like a slug/dad my dad who takes the whole day by himself, I could finish both front and back lawns in forty minutes. Like I said, my dad already “passed away” on/about 02/05/2025 1400 PST. But my thoughts were exactly/probably: who is gonna feed/take care of DB? Then the bio-unit was revived miraculously within 30 seconds or so. He was deactivated for being politically charged earlier after lunchtime and then reactivated by the grace of the Heavenly AllFather. That’s all I have to say on that bit.
End of message 2225 PST.
