There are several parishioners, who look like Asians. Gloria is a shorter, dark-skinned Chinese, who was raised in the Philippines. A couple looks like they are Japanese. Another tall Filipino couple looks Chinese. Yet another couple looks ambiguous – the wife looks Mexican or one of the Islanders; while the husband looks Chinese.

So don’t always assume someone looks Asian. If the skin is dark, one is not always Filipino and vice versa. A good way to determine if someone is Filipino or not is by the surname. If it sounds Spanish or not Chinese, you’ve got a Filipino.
