I’ve been sick.
Since inhaling deeply the infected/stale air into my lungs prior to singing at Sunday morning mass two weeks ago, I knew I was going to be sick. I recall stressing my system further by inhaling some of the “wild greens” for the parakeet. I sneezed once.
On Wednesday, psycho Josie railed upon me about my “work ethics”. She triggered my sickness further. Josie is so stupid not to consider that most temporary workers cannot afford health care insurance. Bitch.
On Thursday, I could feel my sore throat making swallowing difficult. By Friday, I could feel my inner ears burning up. I thought it was a bad case of “acid reflux”. I tried raising my upper torso the best way I could with old pillows layered upon each other. But the burning wouldn’t go away. By Sunday, I was feeling weak.
On Monday, I went to work but by this time I lost my voice. Josie the damn Flip didn’t show up at work but I got her crap done anyway. I felt weak, chilled, dizzy and sick. During breaks, I had to lie down in my car to stay conscious. After emailing the headhunter that evening that I wouldn’t show up for that temp job from hell the following day, I knew I needed medicine.
On Tuesday, I called the doctor. The clerk said there was an opening the following day! Stupid! If this upcoming affordable healthcare act can hammer down on these sort of monopolized/twit-headed tactic, go get them! I insisted that I needed to see her that day. The appointment was set for 11:45am.
Paw was kind enough to drive us back home from that morning’s mass because I was about to pass out after seeing darkness and purple coloration. I excused myself at 8:20am while I depressurized my system lying down in the car. He also drove us to the doctor.
We arrived at 11:30am after missing the exit because I couldn’t speak. As usual, Maw would berate even a sick person for not giving clear directions. F-ck this hell!
At 11:46 and within five minutes, the damn doctor finished talking with me. I forgot to ask for a doctor’s certificate, thinking I didn’t need one since the 500mg antibiotic P.I.D. (that’s 1,500mg in one day) for one week/seven days would have help me recover in two days.
I did feel better today and ended up vacuuming upstairs and washing ALL bed linens and towels. I was testing if I could handle the stress but knew I wasn’t out of the woods. From 102.4 degrees F to 96.8 degrees F was good. But I wouldn’t stop coughing up phlegm.
The color ranged initially from yellow/green to brown/bloody. A few minutes ago, it was very light brown, not amber.
At around 1600 this evening, I called the headhunter again but she wanted me to give the damn client my personal information, such as the doctor’s certificate. So that “she will be reassured”. Of what? That I want to work hard for them and NOT take care of myself first. I spit on you skanks!
Earlier this evening, I didn’t think that I needed to use DC’s zapper. The two cent’s worth was wearing thin and I ended up paying the price with my health later on. But it’s working better to prevent my coughing for spasming up again. Somehow there needs to be a device that rounds the corner of the neck.
Tomorrow, we will end up calling/driving to pick-up the damn doctor’s slip, if she does and/or if I feel well enough to care.
