Behold! I’ve picked up my birthday cookie from our local steakhouse. I thought the sucker was gonna be a small palm sized schnitzel. The email coupon would have expired two days from now. And Dad needed dinner which he ate – small piece of tritip sirloin steak and coleslaw.
In addition, Dad ate stuff sister number two of the Twit Wifey. The sister and her husband gifted us Xmas card, bag of mixed nuts with cranberries, a package of fresh sliced salmon slabs, and a bag of small cute oranges.
In return, my incoming thought earlier indicated that I should gift in return. So in Chinese fashion (though her husband is Vietnamese), I insisted that Dad gift their two children who are in college.
So I panicked and dig up my misplaced red envelopes. Dad whipped out his wallet and handed me somewhat crispy bills for the two adult kids. I then added an extra penny as per their Chinese tradition for better luck and used a think black market pen to write their names on top, dates in the middle, and ours stuff Lyn – Dad way on the bottom.
See? I can reach across the aisle. Can y’all try to do the same? I liked the elderly couple and my boosted blessings upon them and their children. The rest I don’t know. But as the second of their siblings she has done correctly. So my blessings upon them.
So Das Squirrel said they hoard money each around 1/4 million. So I give up being a kinda old fool. And though I’d like to recoup what that thick guy would have reciprocated per pieces of signed papers, in Chinese fashion – I guess that I deserved nothing. I’m humbled.
