In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “That Stings! | Franz Kafka said, “we ought to read only books that bite and sting us.” What’s the last thing you read that bit and stung you?”

Good Flynn: Unfortunately, I don’t read books. I’ve subscribed to the monthly publication of “National Geographic” but I don’t have time to view those pages.

Evil Kitty: I don’t read either. I stare at the tin cans of food you humanz prepare for us. I use my sense of smell instead. Once I sniffed a bumblebee and it seemed to tickle my nose until it stung me. I didn’t like it and ran away.
