Yeah, so today is better. Rosemary said, we were worried about you. I wheeled into the office around 0750 am.
What had happened yesterday was another senior citizen moment. Besides forgetting my water bottle in the locked Maverick meeting room, I also forgot what time to clock out!
Yesterday, I already logged out of the computer and had my belongings on hand when I recalled that I was suppose to leave at 1630, because I came in around 0750.
So I’ll be honest and say, my brain farted again. This won’t be the first time, eh. I already have three areas of forgetfulness. The freedom from emptiness is everlasting!
So the workload is better. But in finding that I still have to print hard copies and as backup to these incoming payments for credit cards, EFT, and WIRE.
Philip made a good point/subtly suggested that multiple batches for EFT and WIRE are not presentable. But he did mention my thoughts that the money already hit the bank.
But because the stupid international orders can’t be released without first applying and/or closing the invoices, the goal is to have those things posted daily.
Yeah right. I held up one week’s worth to “test” their process and to find out if they can “work around” any potential delays in cash receipts. You know, I case I’m not around, etc. Sheesh!
I know y’all, especially you Philip, are reading my informal “audit tests” in this blog. Your knowledge-based stuff is VERY impressive and I thank you for sharing the “standards” on operating procedures, such as having the printed on time date stamp on the “right footer” and path of the file on the “left footer” of our Excel spreadsheets.
It’s time to go back to work. Hopefully, I can process more returns via credit cards and maybe those God-damed live checks. Sheesh!
