Behold! We’ve repaired an old television stand. It’s made out of particle wood and was ordinary purchased on Emporium Builders.
Most television stands are around 20″ in height. We wanted one that stood higher and the old one we had was 30″ high. We went to Fry’s first and found nothing that high.
Then we went to Lowe’s and bought four casters and four corner brackets to secure the four corners, one of which was broken but glued and held together with a plumber’s wrench earlier before we left for shopping.
Once again, I “manned” the electronic tools because Mom is too weak and Dad is too clueless. With the 5 amp electric driller, I “muscled” in the eight Stanley screws provided with the four 2″ corner brackets. Then Mom helped with popping in the four casters after removing the glue of the inventory tag/bar code ending in 332.
Yeah, I “won” the “bid” because Mom wanted to build a wooden “raiser” which would have tired the shit out of Dad and me; while Dad wanted to buy a new television stand, which was impossible and expensive.
I was relaxed the whole time and let Saul, Bashir, Bejezuz, whoever inspire my small mind to complete this stupid but humble home project. The television “turntable” measured perfectly on this old wooden cabinet and I wasn’t about to let this piece of junk go to waste.
