In an effort to conserve water due to California’s drought and for one week now, we’ve been using our portable potty. We bought our new temporary toilet at a local medical supply, which restocked new ones the previous day.
Although we will have a Glacier Bay high-efficiency dual-action toilet by the estimated completion date of August 9, Mutha and I like this plastic contraption! It doesn’t smell and clean-up is easy!
The only time we plan to use our new toilet is for pooping sessions, which smell. All we have to do is fill the plastic bucket with some water and voila! In the morning, I dump the liquid into the toilet (downstairs), rinse, and fill with water again.
As for washing dishes/laundries, taking showers, and hosing plants, we’ll be conservative but discrete in order to avoid being ticketed/fined $500 for violations/whatever.
