To the Boss:
A few minutes ago, Maw mentioned how childbearing can affect a mother’s emotional disturbance. I whole heartedly believe that any imbalance in a person’s bio-chemistry can wreck havoc on her state of mind, too.
In Maw’s hometown, the mother who has given birth must NOT do anything WHATSOEVER for over one month. Everyone must help her. She said her (late) mother did EVERYTHING for her eldest daughter, Juanita after each childbirth.
When I recall what your Mom said about going back to work after six weeks, I know exactly how that lead up to the restlessness of her overall composure, especially when she sits next to me in church.
We noticed that her mind is elsewhere, which is mostly church and other future/planned activities for the children. These are nice endeavors. We also noticed that when she has nothing to do with certain people, her gaze/focus is brief and far away/elsewhere.
Unfortunately, our assessment of her behavior is exactly like the next door neighbor, a psycho divorced nutter (who falsely accuses/bears false witnesses against every female/neighbors (like moi) of affairs with her fugly second husband.)
She is also like my paternal auntie Maldeath (who follows her husband to the bathroom out of jealousy and suspicion) and my paternal aunt-in-law Bella and her sister Loudy – both of whom converses rapidly and NON-STOP, like Chinese people.
When your Mom blames herself for my temporary absence/potential disappearance, it is NOT her fault! I keep reassuring her that “don’t worry”, that “you’re okay”, whatever. I have to be VERY careful because I don’t want to trigger her emotions any further than necessary.
If y’all want answers to your prayers, seek medical advice with your health care provider/professional. Avoid the counselors, psychotherapists, psychologist, whatever. Your Mom need to go on a strict diet of organic food pronto and DETOXITFY immediately. She needs to stop eating too much greasy, fatty Filipino food, especially Barrio Fiesta. Yuch.
As per my many old blogs, I watched a discover/health/science/show on cable about a woman who was perfectly normal. Then she started getting sick. Finally, the culprit originated in the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and/or uterus! The body attacked itself as if it was having a severe allergic reaction to its own proteins!
So if there is cancer down there or some sort of elevation in protein (like meat – adobo, whatever)/whatever, that will show up in the blood-work/whatever. I don’t believe in mental problems. Everything is chemistry – like love! So if you Filipinos don’t believe in miracles or medical intervention, y’all can suffer and die slowly for your damn ignorance. Huh!
Sorry,
Flynn…
