Recently, Maw takes mid-morning nap past noontime. She is still sleeping. Sometimes after a few minutes into her initial doze, I’d remove her eyeglasses (for she is sewing by hand/reinforcing loose threads from the eyelet designs within the yellow/canopy/unfitted bed sheet) and recline her from a sitting position. That relieves the stress on her lower back/butt, by the way.
For the past week, the season has changed from sweltering HEAT of summer bright/white sun to much cooler mornings of gray cloudiness/morning fog, which disappears around noontime to reveal sunshine!
After breakfast at Goldilocks (which is only one minute away from our home), we wanted to walk around TGM/walk off three cups of steamed white rice but decided to stay home. Instead we did our normal routine and cooked for lunch/dinner.
We are always busy. If I had the strength of my parents, coupled with Maw’s steroids from her asthma medication, I could keep up with these elderly people. Since my lifestyle involves no one else but them and three remaining parakeets, I really don’t care to cook or clean.
Everything is in place and organized. We are a unique family of Filipinos, whose household doesn’t smell of sticky oil residue and doesn’t contain displays of ceramic/figurines/statues/graven images but few furnishing from American Colonial to French Victorian styles – none of those IKEA or modules, but heavy-ass furniture built to last.
Still archiving ADT Videos but haven’t reviewed old ones. As long as those are archived properly, I praise and glorify the invisible God that the next door neighbor is more behaved. That’s more important than anything as we continue to pray for the health/safety of this troubled family.
Paw does his morning walks around/after 1100 AM after eating breakfast/doing toilet regimes/exercising on his plastic “banig” (or sleeping mat) from Okinawa, Japan in his bedroom. He is healthy enough with only heart and prostate medications but slowing down psychically physically and forgetting minor details, which I find myself picking quietly.
Oh well… This happens to be my other “job/assignment,” which is NOT paid by regular employment/paychecks but by being available to assist the elderly and to play the “thug” as a neighborhood watchdog, since our home is located on a freaking CORNER! Ugh!
