I’m getting bored with blogging. But I enjoy switching among WordPress.com themes. This time I’m trying the following:
Blix by Sebastian Schmieg
A tried and true two-column theme with widgets and a customizable header.
Tags: custom-header, fixed-width, green, two-columns, rtl-language-support, white, light, right-sidebar, widgets, sticky-post
PROs:
- Light color scheme with a hint of blues and yellows.
- Custom header. A Microsoft clipart of yellow flowers , makes the overall feel of the weblog all warm and sunny, like my Gravatar widget, which sports an illustration of a sun with 12-spokes from iStockphoto.com.

- Single page view for `pages`.
- Two-column view for `posts`.
- Search bar to the right of the top navigation bar.
CONs:
- No time/date stamps for both front page and single view.
- No blog description underneath the blog title.
Once again, I’ve narrowed down the pages to four – archives, links, media and pages – based on the WordPress.com Dashboard. If only drop-down menus were available for `Page` widgets in the sidebar, that would be nice.
