Well, this time I’m trying Pool by Borja Fernandez (A blue two column with tabbed page navigation, custom header, and widgets.) here at WordPress.com. Why?

PROs:

  • Time/date stamp and meta data underneath post title.
  • Top navigation bar.
  • Search bar next to top navigation bar.
  • Archives page `by month` and `by category`.
  • Links page listing blogroll alphabetically, followed by descriptions.
  • Soft blue color scheme against white background.
  • Clear enough fonts.
  • `Home` or `Front page` of top navigation bar logically labeled as `Blog` (or my latest posts).
  • Blockquote element features light blue background.
  • Hover elements for links are blue in color, too.

CONs:

  • No tagline. But with `Font Image Generator`, which creates images from text, I created a tagline from text and uploaded as a header image! Here is my tagline:
