20250420-1336. Anyways, last night, I briefly sampled the Cottage theme and save its Index template because I liked the “cottage-backgroun” image. However, my Jetpack Boost mobile score was VERY angry unto moi and gave my front page a much lower score than expected. So I removed the “cottage-background” image, but the mobile score was still too low for my expectations.
So like clockwork, I got tired of the dark blue WH DJT 45-47 style and tried the similar stone/cream color the Cottage theme and then I’m trying the dried bloody red color of WH DJT 45-47 style. I like this color better as I feel it is warmer appropriately against the stone/cream color of my overall global settings background color.
After last night’s sampling of a health site, where I failed to create an account and had to submit a request to help me get the account created, and after sampling this morning’s major league baseball’s site for mobile view, I came up with a cleaner -looking header!
Lo and behold! I’m still NOT happy with the header layout. But I did figure out how to compliment my Category List block of 66 KJV audio bibles! I added the Archive block displayed by Years instead of by Months!
This make sense now! So there are two rows in the my header. The top row contains my Navigation block of Search block and some Pages and my Site Tagline and a jump-page link “to the pit”! The bottom row contains both the Archive and Category List blocks!
I didn’t want to use the Details blocks and the “Labels” are okay, but I can’t customize the Label for the Archives block. However, I could customize the Label of the Category List block with the words “KJV audio bible”.
For the footer, I set the Details block to NOT Open by default and the background color is now dark. The bottom-most row is the darkest black.
For the content, it’s just the default triple-column taken from the Index template. I deleted two of my customized templates Blog Home and No Sidebar and let the Pages template take over.
That’s all for now. It’s time for lunch. End of transmission 1350 PST.
