Last Thursday afternoon, Maw received a SECOND birthday present from Julie S. It included a bunch of prayers inside a plastic bag, withing a manila envelope and a bubble-padded mailing envelope.
In the evening, I read ALL of the prayers and came across a beautiful image of Mary. Her eyes looks familiar and I’d ‘nick’ that person is holy, indeed. It glows so much that scanning and sharing this image is worth the effort!

Below are the two prayers as it appears on page 27:
Remember, O Most Gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother; to you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.
Hail, holy queen, Mother of Mercy; hail our life, our sweetness and our hope! To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Chirst
This prayer follows the Hail, Holy Queen when the Rosary has been said.
Let us pray: O God, who only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection, has puchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grat, we beseech You, that, meditating upon these mysteries, in the most holy Rosary of the Blessed virgin Mary, we may both imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise. We ask this through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
