Tonight there was little done and said. After my arrival from work, I immediately went upstairs and sat down in front of my computer and read more articles online to further confuse my worldview. I only know that when I’m still there can only be peace. Maw came by a few minutes later to inquire if I will eat dinner.
We ate our dinner of chicken soup with green mustard leaves; small gabi potatoes and carrots. We discussed the attitudes of selfish people and how hurtful their words could be in spite of our being helpful and nice. We concluded that, no matter how much we try to be there for the people we had hope to return our love, the efforts are never enough to satisfy the hard-headed and cold-hearted folks.
Our other distraction for the night was watching the Fat Budgie flirt with Simon, who shares BooBoo’s affection with the more aggressive and younger Bugsy. She jumps more frequently from one swing to the other one on the far end and from one perch to another. I fed some oat groats to my spoiled brats. Bugsy is getting more comfortable with hand feeding. I talked to them with Pimon bobbing his head up and down in front of me and kissing my nose in affection through the cage bars.
After throwing Paw’s recyclables only, Maw wanted me to cut her hair. My skills are not that great but I managed to trim the hairline at the nape and around the ears with the electric shaver. The shaver is by far easier to handle than with ordinary scissors. Then I vacuumed up the fallen hair particles from off of Maw, the floor and the equipment. As a matter of fact, I seemed to have forgotten to replace the container and plastic hair catcher back into its storing place as I enter this blog.
Later, Maw limped towards me and requested that I work on her left knee. She said there were clicking noises and pain inside the joint. So I told her to lie down on her bed and started to work my hands as they seem to know what do to next. There is really no thinking involved as I stretched and bended her knee and kneecap. After only five minutes and around 08:43PM, my job was accomplished. Maw saved money on therapy and time with strangers.
As usual and to her astonishment, she claimed there is no longer the pinching pain when she walked. Today, she had walked around the mall in her effort to stay fit even though both her knees won’t allow much motion. The knee area did look shiny and swollen though. And I suggested placing an ice pack over the affected area. She is currently relaxing in front of her television inside her room and with the ice pack on her knee.
With practice, helping and healing can come as easy as putting on clothes. Once again, my intention to do work of good has been possible with friendly beings and is much easier than trying to pretend. Each one of us has at least a unique ability that does not need feedback from others. Moreover, a clear conscience and the connection to one’s personal God are more effective without religious dogmas and with unconditional love.
