“The stone rejected by the [masonic] builders has become the cornerstone.”
~From today’s Responsorial Psalm (Psalm 118:1-2 and 4, 22-24, 25-27a) for Friday Within The Octave Of Easter.
While the parishioners responded aloud, the thought to quickly add the word “masonic” was during the First Reading (Acts 4:1-12). While the ushers collected donation for the “temple”, last night’s thought was about how the act of “tithing” served like “protection money” in the guise as “spiritual salvation”. Most Asians would understand how “collectors” handle payment in their respective countries. And so it is in the USA. Wake up, folks!
Addendum: We attended the noontime mass because Paw took the written test and passed! So he will get his new CA driver’s in a few weeks. I had to guide the old man around the place after Maw scolded me for not doing my job to assist. But that left Thai to do whatever she planned for me and/or other choir members for this morning’s 8 o’clock mass in the parish hall. For whatever reason, yesterday I was intercepted to sing (LOUDLY) up front with Nini, an aloof “asungot”, who was busy saying the rosary and pretended to refuse to say goodbye. So I guess the Lord saved from these troubled people me this day. Thanks.
