20250111-0119. Yeah, so last night, I saw the ad banner for the Jetpack Boost, which I’ve tried/used in the past. And so I knew that I could benefit from this product and purchased the two-year plan, which should cover beyond my Legacy “business” plan set to expire in one year. I may change my mind between the two different plans.
The main reason for yesterday’s purchased plan was to take advantage of the “Automatically Optimize CSS Loading” feature instead of manually “[generating my] Critical CSS whenever [I] make changes to the HTML or CSS structure of [my] site.”
The other feature was “Critical CSS advanced recommendations”, which identified an “HTTP error 404”! That post was already in the Trash and so I deleted that duplicated post, which was designated as “blog-2” with the usual “dash followed by the number 2” for automatic duplicates.
The useful feature was the Image Guide, in which the Image Size Analysis showed me images that needed my attention. For example, I used two small Site icon images for a larger display and those are “okay”, which is designated in a green colored “dot” over the affected images.
However, I had one image that had a red color dot! I kept trying to find a different image because the image really did display TOO large on both the mobile and desktop version. I found a smaller unused Site Icon (500×500 pixels) and that worked wonderfully! Now the image has a green colored dot!
So far my overall score is rated “A” despite the Mobile score of 86 lags slightly behind to my Desktop score of 96. I would take that as a compliment and assurance that my site is functioning properly for viewers’ experiences.
That’s all. End status report 0155 PST.
