20250205-2157. My elderly father fainted after what the ER doctor mentioned: vagus response.
On/around 1430 PST this after, my dad fainted after complaining about seeing blurry vision as he motioned with his right hand.
I kept my eyeballs on him and continued washing and or drying the dishes. Then I headed off to the bathroom to brush my teeth and came back to do more dishes.
And while I still had my toothbrush hanging from my mouth, I could see my dad’s hands slowly pull away from the top of the table.
He was unresponsive as I saw him shivering while he stared slightly upward and straight head. I whacked his chest several times but he still was unresponsive.
I whacked in the chest and tried to revive him. Then I tried MTM and or some more chest compressions to get him moving. There was still no response.
Then he started to slide down slowly and in slow motion from off his chair as he landed slowly on his butt.
And my eyeglasses LENSES came off trying to keep him from landing on his head as his dining room chair slide off from underneath him.
He was still NOT responding and I tried to perform chest compression. But he started making gurgling noises and I saw soup coming outta both his nose and his mouth.
So that meant he was still able to inhale and I didn’t want him to choke on his upchucks.
So I immediately rolled him to this left side to help him breathe and empty out the contents of his FULL tummy of soup.
I was on the phone of the emergency services when he was already revived and said yeah to the operator.
I had difficulty calling emergency services because I still do NOT know how to operating my smartphone.
Fast forward to 2000 PST and signing off 2001 PST, we made it home safe and sound from our VERY first visit to our local ER since living here for 50 years.
My dad is almost finished with his shower and then I’ll prepare his late supper. Thanks to AllFather, of course.

P.S. Due to my excitement as usual, I forgot both our our mobile phones.
