Have you ever been in an automobile accident?
20230510-1804. Oops! I think I published this unfinished Daily-Prompt in error. So I’m “filling-in” my delayed response.
One recent car accident that I do recall was when I was distracted with intrusive thoughts about the demonically-possessed or simply crazy NextDoor neighbor L0l!nda G.
I was driving, looking away quickly at my phone at hand or had my gaze towards the passenger seat. Then I looked up quickly and wondered why the car in front of me was stopped but I had my foot on the accelerator and as I tried to stop the car with my brakes I still had my foot on the gas pedal, which I was pressing at the same time!
Two other times I rear-ended cars that were stopped at a streetlight intersection. Both were stopped to look for oncoming traffic before turning right or doing the “California roll”.
But I was also looking for oncoming traffic. Because I was too distracted, I thought the car in front of me were already merged into traffic but they were NOT. And so I didn’t look that they were still stopped and so I rear-ended the car in front of me.
Another time was rear-ending a car stopped inside a merge lane. But they didn’t merge into the “right” traffic. And in my haste, I pressed the gas pedal to avoid the cars coming from my left AND right. And I didn’t see the car “parked” or stopped in the center divide and so I rear-ended them.
They are both Filipinos and are illegal immigrants hiding or TNT or ta-go-ng-ta-go (hiding from hiding illegal status). A Vietnamese woman was sponsoring these two Filipinos. That’s how the invasion into America is possible through Catholic charities and the like.
