“(CNN) – The Democratic National Convention released the remarks prepared for Michelle Obama to deliver at the DNC convention in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday evening.”
Just like the Paul Ryan’s speech, my brain refused to listen to the entire speech by Michelle Obama on Tuesday evening. I had cleaned the parakeet cage and vacuumed their area mid-way into her damn speech, most of which was totally unbelievable. I was NOT feeling it, Michelle! You hear that?
“That’s the man I see in those quiet moments late at night, hunched over his desk, poring over the letters people have sent him.”
Oh, geez! What about the countless millions that do NOT ever send him letters? Do you hear their voices too?
Anyway, I sensed she was FORCING herself to “appeal to emotions” with the fake tears in her voice. The “real” Michelle I sensed would have been MORE passionate and fiery in her speeches and demanding more than “cookies and milk” from people. But not this one, not the one that would have appealed to the housewife/homemaker sensibilities.
Maw really was fuming when she saw Michelle’s eyes squinting/glaring momentarily into the camera towards the end of the speech. I could see the pursed lips of frustration from that woman. It must be hell for Michelle (a rhyme).
