In my slowness, I discovered an “untested” feature to the “Debut” theme. So last night I tried the “horizontal” direction for the slideshow and that’s perfect for a “book” as long as the speed of the “Slide” is slow. A “Fade” looks better with the “vertical” direction. The rest is easy
- Category | Position of the title and content — I’m using my “Quote” as the category for the “slideshow”.
- Content Position | Color of hero content area. — I’m using “Centered” with “Left Side”, “Right Side” and “Hide” as other positions for the slideshow.
- Content Color| Disable slideshow (auto advance). — I’m using the “Light Text/Dark Background” with “Dark Text/Dar Background” and two others with “No Background” as other colors.
- Disable Slideshow | Choose a direction in which the slides should animate. — I’m using the slideshow and therefore didn’t check-off the little box.
- Slide Direction | Choose a type of animation for each slide transition. — I’m using the “Vertical” direction for now with the “Horizontal” direction for a faux “book” later.
- Slide Animation | Speed (in seconds) at which the slides will animate between transitions. — I’m using the “Slide” animation for now with the “Fade” animation for later.
- Slide Animation Speed | Time (in seconds) before transitioning to the next slide. — It’s default to two seconds.
- Slideshow Speed | Number of posts to display in slider. — It’s default to six seconds.
- Slide Count — I’m using 15 slides like the maximum number of 15 Recent Comments, for example.
