Daily Prompt: Ballerina Fireman Astronaut Movie Star
“When you were 10, what did you want to be when you grew up? What are you now? Are the two connected?
Photographers, artists, poets: show us DREAMS.”
I don’t recall ever wanting to dream to be anything or anyone.
I was an “accountant” who earned good money, all of which has been “tithe” to those in need. I am currently a “caretaker” who learned good lessons from two elderly parents, four fat parakeets, and a group of spiritually-challenged souls.
Technically, both “jobs” are similar in respect to working hard to provide support to both “professions”. The former was a professional position as a cubicle slave; the latter is a non-profit position as a goodwill ambassador. The work involved/require team work to get anything done.
And so it is. I didn’t dream I would end up once rich and now poor. Yet my lifestyle remains the same – boring and uneventful, peaceful and contemplative, as if the struggles to find my way out of dream into a nightmare and onto a reality where only love and life matter now.
