Dear diary,
As predicted, I’m not able to complete my final scanning project of old film negatives and paper photos due to house chores, gardening, and elderly care.
While downstairs keeping the swollen Mutha Fucka companionship, I’ve been organizing any loose photos chronologically. Without my notes and Dad’s narrative on the back of each paper photo, I wouldn’t have a clue.
As of yesterday, I’ve done all I could and proceeded to scan those brown-colored, cardboard photos. But, lo and behold, I was freaking interrupted! Dad Squirrel came for lunch, which I cooked three eggs scrambled with chopped green onions and white mushrooms.
So yeah, I’m planning to discard the newest paper photos from Costco and any that are not from my binder of plastic film negatives.
Last week 20151209-1315, I called “San Jose Camera and Video” and inquired if they sold those “negative preservers”. OMG! They did! And while Dad was working to kill, err, severely prune the fruit trees, I hurried to buy 100 count (25 per pack) 35 millimeter binder sheets and one 25 pack for slides, too. I had to buy more because I ran outta my Amazon.com order of one-100 pack from the prior day!
So after buying the suckers with glee, I hurried home and stuff more of our film negatives on hand. I used up two-25 pack of negative preservers. After two days, my parents accompanied unto moi so I could return three of the five purchases. In total, I have almost exactly two-hundred sheets of film negatives, or seven slots per sheet, or 1,400 strips of films.
Anyway, I need the strength to complete this project prior to working full-time, sometime next year. I pray for less distraction from the home front. My time had been “wasted” doing driving and other yucky stuff. But it’s meant to keep me from sitting down the whole day, I guess.
With hisses,
Evil Kitty
