Hello y’all:
This is Flynn with another pause in life. We got our refund back, thanks to Marge, the boss lady of her shoe store.
Our original purchase was done March 6, and we waited five months for the arrival of one pair of shoes.
We never got it because Christine filled out an order for a style that was only manufactured for men.
Christopher, Marge’s son, tried to help a few weeks ago. But we never got the return call. I should have asked him for a refund but didn’t like refunding.
So, per as Marge, Jay helped processed a refund but voided the refund back to my card because the transaction was really for Dad’s debit card.
Then bank didn’t like two high charges and alerted us, meaning Dad’s card was locked. Thank goodness I had some money left on my account to cover the embarrassment, inconvenience.
(Later, I had to follow-up with the bank to resolve the issue, first by the automatic version and then by a live representative, who told us that the refund takes around three days to clear.)
I learned from Marge that they don’t issue check refund done on debit/credit due to fraud. And when I asked Christine a few weeks ago, she said only Marge and Christopher were allowed to processed refunds. Weird.
Jay also helped Dad get three new pairs of shoes – a Velcro leather slipper, a New Balance sneaker, and a pair of dress shoes for church. Dad also got his own orthopedic inserts, which is supposed to help his lower back pain and progressively slouching posture.
I got another pair of orthotics for a discounted price of $200, from and by the boss lady who took measurements of my feet. I didn’t want to hassle with two shoes and one orthotics.
Mom got another pair of dress shoes for her orthotics. This time she got brown shoes, similar to her black shoes.
So, the lesson here is, that if your shoes are not available within ten to thirty days, y’all are entitled for a full refund.
Don’t let the salesperson push you into buying a style that doesn’t agree with you. Know your needs.
We were clear that we needed shoes for church and for work. The styles they offered were sturdy and looked more casual and relaxed than for our classic tastes.
This had been a learning experience.
With lots of hisses,
Evil Kitty
