The poet’s blog entry reminded me of how “the walls have ears”. Which is why I refuse to talk in full sentences at/inside my home for fear/anxiety that our walls, windows, doors are not soundproof enough for our neighbors to hear/eavesdrop! And that our voices/conversations are probably so/too loud.
Yesterday during mass, the cantoring protest said his sermon about how we fail to listen, in which our “ears” connect to the “heart”. And with an analogy of removing both “h” and “t” we learned that kids recently do NOT listen to their parents, who want nothing more than the best for their children, who talk back to the parents – something “unheard of” for the previous generations of most Filipinos.
Yeah, so we all should pray that stubborn souls “listen” to reason/common sense/goodness and stop violating a Christian commandment of “falsely accusing thy neighbor”.
Goodness unto those who discern the bad/hear the good, a reflection of the heart, which will express itself through the mouth and one/single tongue, hopefully not “forked”, like reptilians.
