Here are my notes via the “Memo” app of my cellphone:
21:50. Don’t fear the queer and pompous. (Don’t Fear the Square and Compass.)
12:22. Saw the tiny Black Bird (male) perching on the naked branches of our plum-tree through the windows of the computer bedroom upstairs. [At 10:46am (01/15/2012), the same male bird is perching on the tree branch!]
11:15. Saw a white bird flapping its wings slowly and rhythmically towards a general southern direction between 170 and 180 degrees from my upstairs window. [At 10:47am, (01/15/2012), the same white bird came back from the southern direction! Just then the Black Bird flew away.]
09:39. Maw and I drank boiled ginger. I had trimmed off the skin and used a pestle to crush the fresh ginger root so that the flavor would come out. A “salabat” (which sounded like “sa’-labas” to mean “there outside”, is a Filipino word for “ginger” [root].
09:34. After breakfast, Maw and I saw a televised commercial on dog products. I mentioned how dogs have worms and lick faces; how dogs have tick and fleas that bite skins; and how dogs have fur that comes out all over the floor and sticks to clothes!
08:19. While Maw watched a preview of “The Exes”, a sitcom on television, I added the following to the script in poetry: “You’ve got mail/male. I know him. Oh, no! It’s Mr. Bill!”
