After lunch, I decided to sweep the dried leaves from our backyard. The soil underneath the tree is black from moisture but the leaves were sufficiently dried to sweep up without kicking up too much dry dust.
I was wearing one dark blue long sleeve, a polyester shirt and a cotton undershirt. Coupled with the warm sunny and clear blue skies, I was sweating up a storm. Slight breeze of warmth did nothing to cool me down. But at 15:00pm I managed to gather the leaves in the usual pile of a cement ditch near a fence separating our property from the property of the Chinese directly behind us.
I love sweating out the toxins through my pores. I believe Maw received her evil flu shot in September during the heatwave. And that same afternoon, she was sweating up a storm, too, and probably in the process removed whatever nefarious ingredients from that shot through her pores. This was probably for a good week of heatwave and dancing to a medley of music on cassette tape.
