OMG! After playing around with the overflow code for scrolling at a width of 450 pixels with a height of ‘auto’, I finally got the ‘content’ section (or ‘page’ and ‘entry’ section in other WordPress.COM themes) of my paid upgrade for CSS stylesheet to look like a ‘book’. The text widget labeled ‘Main Menu’ is now visible and is located directly below the ‘content’ section as the bottom (not top) or navigation bar. My weblog site is best viewed with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels pages).
Please take a gander at my newest discovery: a right scrollbar for each post (or page). Y’all will have to scroll downward to read the rest of the text. I do notice that my text aligned as ‘center’ were compromised and are now text aligned as ‘left’. I will have to figure out why this overflow scrollbar messed up the ‘content’ in this manner.
For hover (or mouseover) images, the position for each ‘div class’ within the CSS stylesheet should be set to ‘static’ because the images with the position set to ‘relative’ would not stick and instead would ‘hover’ over the bottombar whenever scrolling downward to view the rest of the ‘contents’ of the post (or page).
I retract my ‘hating’ the sneaky volunteers at the WordPress.COM forums in a previous blog entry. If it weren’t for the forums I wouldn’t know about overflow scrolling, two columns and hover (rollover or mouseover) images without using plugins or JavaScripts here at WordPress.COM (due to security reasons). I always check on the forums for any updates that I may have overlooked.
While bloggers could learn some tips and hints the smart guys, beginners like moi could learn much better by doing the legwork of researching online (too) without the embarrassment of asking too many ‘stupid questions’ through the forums. There are the ‘FAQ’ or ‘help’ sections at WordPress.COM and those are very helpful.
After one year with WordPress.COM, I’m getting better at programming my weblog site to suit my needs. Then again there is my paid, self-hosting for twenty-four months via WordPress.ORG. And that will take more than one year to perfect and learn thoroughly. If only I had the means, time and patience to read through the documentations, I could link my weblog site here at WordPress.COM from WordPress.ORG and still advertise and make money while still blogging.
