This ‘famous 5-minute installation, setting up WordPress’ was not simple! I went through the documentations and couldn’t figure out which of the methods to use. I’m not that smart! After one-week of wondering why I got logged out of my Cpanel, after calling in for security verification yesterday afternoon, and after installing my new WordPress site, I still don’t know what I’m doing! I’ve gotten my email containing my Admin Panel, Admin Username and Admin Password; so this means I did something right.
I then registered under WordPress.org. I’m now logged into this ‘Codex tools’ section. And then there are five chapters of WordPress Lessons that I should read. I opened up ‘Introduction to Blogging’ and thought this is incredible! I think we need a ‘wizard’ for those willing to pay for plug-ins and JavaScript; instead of trudging along through these pages, one step at a time! I’ve signed up for two years to make this website work. I’ll read the documentations in order starting with ‘WordPress Lessons’ section and then ‘Getting Started’.
I know it took me over a year to know some basic CSS via WordPress.COM and now I’m trying to cross-train my big brain with this PHP stuff via WordPress.ORG. Maybe, I’ll become a good web designer instead of a boring ‘bean counter’ and get a big behind from sitting down too much. This is because TPTB are processing my current lifetime too slow. This is not forgive-able, ever. For those who ‘really’ know me, it’s ‘all Greek to me’. I don’t know what that phrase means other than that I’m still clueless to the truth, really.
I dear gawd! I will trying read the WordPress.ORG forum and find my clues there too. I don’t think I fully installed whatever I need to get my site up and running. I know I’m not that stupid. It takes lots of reading and patience. It looks like one member has posted his problems with installation fifteen minutes ago. Another member said his got fatal error messages. Oh, wow! There are lots more people with missing posts, log-in problems and crashes. This doesn’t sound too good for beginners. It’s almost two o’clock and it’s time to sleep.
