Unrequited love.
The flute played in the background, a haunting but meditative tune of “Take and Receive”. He took my heart away and left me breathless. But what I received was a dose of reality. He loved his own kinds more than what nature and God intended. The strong downbeat of the drum sounded as this beautiful dove flapped its wings at the wrist, now broken and grounded.
Oh hark! A harp played in the distant heaven as fluffy, puffy clouds of white parted slowly to reveal a glorious sight, an angel cloaked in her faith among the betrayed, a hope beyond charity that her love would uplift the spirits of the fallen one, a poulet so fat with its own sins that it cooed softly in its lonely and cold night.
It closes its eyes. The rain comes down. Maybe the bells chiming would awaken it from its troubled slumber and dreamless sleep. An ocarina is playing in the distance as it echos the flightless one’s terrible fate. A warmth fills its whole form and it opens it eyes to see that radiance of sunshine and heavenly chorus of beautiful sylphs.
It’s home where love never ends.
