Anyway, I briefly answered the Daily Prompt about Happily Ever After, in which I did NOT respond fully as intended without FIRST thinking. In this blog, I will share my thoughts briefly about how one’s perception can create realities.
For example and as per my smartphone notes dated 2013/02/27 at 07:39 am, this morning Maw spoke about how “if you want to live, you don’t have to spend beyond your limits. You can cook your own meals, store them well, and have many more servings later on.”
She further cited her life’s experiences of how our family never really went out to dine in the restaurants. By doing so, we saved what little money we had during the growing years with Paw working embarrassing jobs that took two hours to travel each way for seven years.
Discussion over dinner about health topics included bland food that the boy’s in-laws eat, his twit wifey calling him to eat her lunch food, eating a Chipotle salad of $6 dollars compared to Kim Tar’s duck dish of $4 dollars and other salty, fluid retaining meals of eating Vietnamese pho soup.
Although we had little to eat, our health to this day is good. And although I had the potential to be wealthy and eat all the food I wanted, it came to naught. What I had was the freedom to expect nothing but simple food to feed this body. And that’s all that matters.
Oh, oh! Also Maw mentioned how rich people pretend to be poor. I know who you are now, fools! She also said that people don’t care about anything else as long as they eat and the extra money/free hand out will end up being spent on other things, just to be “happy”.
