Activists up ante in China, Japan isle dispute

“These islands are our territory”

Okay, chumps! Prove it! Show me the ancient records and I could easily see (from several maps online and per my old Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc. (1971, p.83 of the Altas section) that the closest proximity of “The Senkaku/Diaoyu Islands Dispute” would have to be Taiwan (Formosa).

But since the Chinese wouldn’t let the Taiwanese have their sovereignty, I’ll have to decide that “Ryukyu Retto” and surround archipelago islands belong to Japan. Then again the neutral stance of the United States could go either way.

Besides, Japan is only a small island; while China has lots of mainland. So it would be prudent to let Japan have their little volcanic claim (for now).

And depending on factors such as reciprocating wealth from the exclusive rights to the oil resources and understanding the concepts of “honor” and “trust”, the winning bid would go to the more responsible party.

Also, what of the sea/wildlife? Don’t they have a say on how you damn humans are going to use their “territory”?
