Last night, I have looked up what would the punishment be for driving on a suspended or revoked license. Our local website says it varies and that the CRIMINAL defense attorney would be needed. I learned about different violation and how a conviction could be a maximum time in the county jail of six (6) months and/or a maximum of $1,000.00 punishable fine(s).
There is an elderly lady who drives without a license to attend mass at our local parish. I have a good mind to inform her of the prohibition to drive without a license (suspended or revoked, too). But an elderly couple said that I should just mind my own business and let the police get her. My concern is the safety of other motorists on the road. She does drive super SLOW and lots of drivers would honk their horns at her to “speed it up” or “move over, lady!”
Within that same webpage online, the driver who is with the knowledge or knows she drives on a suspended or revoked license AND/OR drivs on a a suspended and revoked license, can be arrested and convicted!
No wonder the world is screwed up! The fear of being punished for telling the truth can be punishable in the man-made court of law! To avoid being punished, dishonest people are willing to blame the innocent.
In the workplace, people are capable of lying through their teeth just to “cover their asses”. I’ve learned how people at work deny anything by saying: “I didn’t know.” or “I didn’t think about that.” It’s all about keeping the job by playing stupid, too.
After all these years, I finally realize the meaning behind the “right to remain silent” the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. It means: say nothing and “I don’t know”. Let the prosecutors work hard to find the defendant “guilty”.
This means whistle blowers won’t get protection, except the inevitable, which is punishment by death, if necessary. Look what happened to the likes of Wikileaks and pals. No one knows what is going on and no one will admit guilty, which again explains the doom and gloom spewing forth fear-based scare tactics to hide the truth: that everything is okay.
