This morning the priest was lecturing to some children. I don’t like any authority figure who claims to know all the answers and expect the listener(s) to follow through and understand each and every word. What I would like is for both sides to contribute to the discussion.
In my mind’s imagination, I see children at play. Play is fun when tossing balls. Whoever has the ball should toss it to someone, in the hopes that the ball will be returned for more fun. That’s how engaging minds should operate, not “DROP THE BALL”, “keep the ball rolling”, or expect “that’s the way the ball bounces”.
Balls can be controlled in the right hands and much better with both hands or more. Balls by themselves do nothing but look round. Balls are inanimate and like ideas, are tossed around until the holder(s) know what to do.
