Ten Questions to Help Us Improve “The Daily Posts”
Howdy! We want to make sure that The Daily Post supports you in reaching your blogging goals – but first, we need to understand what those goals are! We’d love to learn more about what you want from your blog and what types of features will help you get there.

On average, how often do you currently post?
- Every Day, because I’m an addicted blogger who is un/deremployed.
- Three to Six Times a Week
- One to Three Times a Week
- Once a week
- Two to Three Times a Month
- Less Than Twice a Month
Would you like to post more frequently? If so, how often?
- Every Day, because there’s so much to “share”, as if you “care”. (I rhymed!)
- Three to Six Times a Week
- One to Three Times a Week
- Once a week
- I’m happy with my posting frequency the way it is, thanks!
What goals, other than simply posting, do you have for your blog? Feel free to pick more than one, or to add to these options.
- I want to attract/become part of a community of like-minded folks. (Yeah, these are the psychos and spooks. Thank you.)
- I want to become a better writer and/or photographer. (Someone complained about my crap. Too bad! Don’t follow me then!)
- I want to build a portfolio of writing and/or photography to help my career (or start a new one). (I am supposed to be a “painter” but got stuck doing the tedious/boring desk jobs, which pays well/better.)
- I want to share my expertise. (I started only two topics on “how-to” and those meant nothing.)
- I just like posting, and that’s okay. (That’s all I wanted. Take it or leave. Hah!)

What obstacles are preventing you from meeting your goals? Pick as many as you want. Feel free to add your own, or to expand on your choice.
- I don’t have time. (I had a meme called “slave” doing house chores.)
- I want to post, but I have a hard time thinking of interesting things to say. (That’s why I rely on Plinky prompts and my boring notes for material.)
- It’s tough to motivate myself to sit down at the computer when I’m not sure anyone’s paying attention. (I really want to reduce the hoarding clutter and those activities distract my blogging.)
- I’m scared of putting myself “out there.” (For national security/eye witness protection reasons…)
- I have trouble using WordPress.com. (I want to use a self-hosted blog but don’t have the expertise.)

How useful do you find these current Daily Post features? | Very Useful | Somewhat Useful | Meh. | Not Very Useful | Not Useful at All
- Focus On Posts | Not useful at all because my stuff is a hybrid. I get ideas but my brain stopped.
- Grammar Tutorials | Not Very Useful because I’m educated enough to know stuff. Hehehe.
- Weekly Photo Challenges | Meh because I got tired of subjective matieral.
- Blogging Tips | Somewhat useful because I’m learning how to behave.
- Plinky Prompts | Very useful because the questions are easy to answer.
How interested would you be in the following kinds of posts? | Uber Interested! | Pretty Interested | Meh. | Not Very Interested | Not Interested at All
- Weekly Writing Challenges | Uber Interested! That will supplement my (daily) Plinky prompts.
- Interviews with Successful Bloggers | Not Very Interested because I don’t have the willingness to retain their “success”.
- Blogger and Community-Building Etiquette | Meh. I need to learn how REAL people handle REAL (legal) crap, such as borrowing/stealing copyrighted material and bumping off annoying commentators and reporting strange, automattic likes.
- Why Certain Posts Get Freshly Pressed | Pretty Interested because I found out how a humorous blogger made readers spew coffee out of their noses.
- Bloggers’ Favorite Reads | Not Interested at All because unpopular reads have “truthiness” and people don’t really care about such blather.
- Advanced WordPress.com Tips | Pretty Interested because I want to know everything about WordPress and how to use their stuff.
- Focus On: Niche Topics | Meh. I don’t know what is a “niche”. I would like to incorporate this “niche” into the “Weekly Focus”, instead of daily. I quickly learned about “craft beers”, although I don’t like the WEAK taste all that much as I would prefer the harder stuff occasionally. Bahaha!
How often would you like to see fresh content from The Daily Post?
- Every day!
- Three to six times a week works for me.
- No more than three times a week, please. I already have a life away from blogging and can’t keep up with my boring notes, let alone share my Plinky prompts.
What other topics would you like to see The Daily Post cover?
Daily quotes (from “successful bloggers”) and “Today’s Freshly Pressed” (based on Plinky prompts or something like that) and “Monday’s Weekly Focus” (on “proper” blogging).
Do you ever use the daily prompts from Plinky as inspiration?
- Sure do! | I still have the old Plinky prompts that I’d like to answer.
- Not really.
- What’s Plinky?
What else do you want us to know? Come on, we know there’s something.
Since we already have “Weekly Photo Challenge” (Friday) and “Weekly Writing Challenge” (Monday), why not assign challenges for the rest of each day of the week? Examples such as “Weekly Audio Challenge” (Tuesday); “Weekly Video Challenge” (Wednesday); “Post a Quote Challenge” (Thursday); and “Post a Link Challenge” (Saturday). Sunday is reserved for what makes blogging special. Thanks.
