Topic # 132 : What software can't you live without? Many people actually have a chemical dependency on PowerPoint or Mail.app. What's yours?

My whole career has been all about Excel spreadsheets. It's an accountants dream tool. Without it, balancing the books would be next to impossible and time consuming too. The Pivot tables and VLOOKUP function both help to make the job easier.
After realizing how money is the root of all evil, I've stop using the spreadsheet or any software application that has anything to do with money. My personal worksheet at home had lots of look-ups and references. It came in hand when calculating accrued interest rates.
Nowadays, I am using OpenOffice.org Writer. It's similar to MS Documents. I love to blog and needed a tool that will help me save a copy of each entry I happen to make on my weblog site. I also participate on open forum discussion boards (unintelligently I might add). And since those sites do NOT offer members archive retrievals, we are left to copy and paste our responses to documents files.
