
After Paw reviewed online articles of the possible effects of dementia and Alzheimer’ disease from aluminum ingestion, Paw and I donated: *2 aluminum woks (with one aluminum lid of red color); two aluminum, electric rice cookers, a wire shoe rack of white color, one electrical wok, one blue bin and a bag of shoes. While waiting for the black guy to finish filling out his receipt, I took a photo of the following items that:
Goodwill of Silicon Valley accepts all BUT the following donations:
- Furniture in need of repair – soiled, stained, missing pieces, etc. Furniture that cannot be re-sold.
- Large appliances.
- Automobile parts.
- Weapons.
- Household trash.
- Construction debris, lumber, concrete, bricks, etc.
- Hazardous household chemicals or liquids of any kind (paints, insecticides, oils, flammables, alcohol, etc.)
- Food.
Exceptions:
- Mattress will be accepted at any of our stores that receive donations or main plant for a $10 recycling fee.
- Carpet will be accepted at our main plant facility. (Call for pricing — 408-998-9774).
- Scrap metal and plastic will be accepted (not subject to donation receipt) at our main plant facility.
