I reviewed an old voicemail message, of which the speakerphone of his cellphone was still on.

My mind “imagined” the following possible scenarios:

A tall/white man wearing a dark suit. The sense of being thicker on the lower half of his body. The sound of movement, possibly wooden chairs dragging across a floor; of echos resounding/bouncing off the walls a small/white room; of rustling/shuffling papers; of both men walking downstairs because of the rhythmic/scratching sounds.

I recognized the voice of the caller conversing with the guy with a deep/forthright/menacing voice. I heard “investment scheme”. Those were the two words and definitely the word “investment” among the garbled/now-deleted voice-mail message on my old/dumb phone long ago…
