Pick a contentious issue about which you care deeply — it could be the same-sex marriage debate, or just a disagreement you’re having with a friend. Write a post defending the opposite position, and then reflect on what it was like to do that.
I care about helping others. It has and will always bug me that certain people cannot help themselves. But what I’ve come to know is that manufactured crisis is profitable. And to help the current cause célèbre, charity is NOT too far afoot. Appeals for remedies s are promoted and slowly but surely donations follow suit. It’s all tax-free but NOT the guilty feelings of NOT trying HARD enough to “fix it”. The victims carry the burdensome cross on their shoulders for a while until they wake up and realize that they have been duped.
Of course, this notion that everyone who is oppressed by tyrannical forces is nonsense. Everyone is free but only are enslaved by their own limitations when in fact they have ability to overcome their doubt in themselves. Cast aside the fear of playing the victim, with only the most emotionally-inclined persons who would subject themselves to torture in their minds, – that something has to be done or it might be too late, and the person will stop being so nice and take a hint.
