Dear diary,
Well, today is supposed to be happy and a day for fathers. The sky is cloudy and that’s fine so I don’t have to ruin my shower with sweat and tears. I’m gonna server as cantor in our choir mass this morning. There are four Sunday masses. So I’m trying to get to church a few minutes earlier to intercept the prior singing group in the hopes of finding out if the microphone is set up and/or how to setup the microphone. If none is available, I’ll just ‘steal’ the show and head on up to the ambro stand and perform the Alleluia portion, which is after the Responsorial Psalm.
As for the house and lot in the Philippines, my daddy is wise and instructed me to wait if the Aussie and his twit wifey wanted to call us, and not to go overboard with sharing too much of what we have on file with the Accessor. The attorney is correct about pieces of papers.
I made many points to my daddy that if they really wanted to speak with us:
- YOD should have started an FB video chat as soon I sent a hand wave via an FB account of her SECOND hubby DC, who is an Aussie and whose family is supposed to be VERY wealthy but insane pricks against him for being a bad boy.
- YOD should have called us on our main landline and I would have initiated an FB video chat from my end.
- YOD should have started an FB video chat after their return from the church service, but instead took four hours to go grocery shopping.
- YOD knows that she won’t go anywhere with my bad attitude and potty mouth. I’m assuming that’s why the other cousins are pricks against her and only want to hang out with wealthy friends, too.
Anyway, if we were pricks, we would have taken away their rights and rented the property, take the money, and then distribute it to whoever in the family needs it. But as it stands, most of them either are too stupid and lazy to find work in Manila and only depend on the selling of property, knowing full well that my parents did the leg work of going to Pakil, Philippines to update the taxes and utilities. The responsibilities fell on the shoulders of the siblings when my auntie was alive.
But now there are no more siblings, we cousins are next in line with only two surviving spouses or in-laws, the thief wife of my uncle and my daddy, ahead of us. YOD said that these country folks would defer and respect my daddy’s decision. As of yet, it appears to be a stalemate because neither YOD and I are allowed to initiate conversation.
The no-no in this situation is that if these fools had a good mind, they should share, giving one caretaker the responsibility to tend to my house. You see, though my parents, did the legwork, they stuck my name on the house. And for all I know they are making that house a den of thieves by playing pool and whatnots.
I’m not sure why they are fighting over something that was a huge project in town. For all I care, if the Lawd Gawd wishes to sacrifice the house, so be it. I don’t know if they are fibbing or escalating something that doesn’t belong to anyone.
On the original title date back in the 1930’s, the widowed was listed as the owner of the land. She is the maternal grandmother of my mommy. That matronal grandmother was an orphan. And so the attorney said that title passed on to the mother of my mommy, who has at least seven other siblings, now all passed away.
And so yeah I’m waiting to communicate my sentiments and well I could kick them out and rent the place. Eh. I don’t know. I wanted to rent this place too. But the two guys in my life – my daddy and my younger brother – are sentimental and don’t want anything to go away or leave without their knowledge and permission. Bah!
Sincerely,
Flynn B foolish and unwise.
