Long ago, Das Squirrel expressed his concern to Mom: “Don’t you think it’s better if both you and Dad slept in the same room?” Again the answer is duality – yes and/or no, depending on your perspective.
By tradition and/or superstition, parents are supposed the share the same bed. Kids aren’t allowed to “get in between the other halves”: Their place is secondary.
Anyway, such concept is yet/another box. “It all in your head!” said Mom. “Self-help” gurus, err, authors would say: “It’s within you/r heart/self.” Both are valid.
Take your home. It’s a BIG box filled with in/animate objects. There are smaller sub-boxes known as rooms – living, sitting, dining, breakfast, pool, family, bed, den, hobby, bath, laundry, utility, kitchen, mud, garage, whatever…
In summary, your body/spirit/soul – each is also a box within a box. Take it wherever it’s happy and comfortable, without the baggage (a box) of emotions, traditions, superstitions, cultural, religion, laws, regulations, rules, policies, morality, whatever…
Likewise it’s okay if Mom sleeps upstairs to have her own space, to give Dad his own man-cave/master bedroom downstairs to himself, and most importantly to keep me company next door; since I freaked out/got lonely after Das Squirrel left home.
